So.... I painted another kinda 'formula' piece. It's a slutty mermaid. Every fantasy artist has to paint a slutty mermaid at least once, right? I tried to be more 'design oriented' when drawing her. I doubt I'll make prints of her, though, since she really doesn't 'grab' me. She's listed with closeups on ebay.

I love the movement in this one, especially how everything seems to float about her. It really gives off the underwater feel.

You know... I really think that this one and chantel are two of your strongest pieces, color compositionally speaking. I really love the flow of it, as I've said before, and even if you did not connect emotionally with the piece, it still is very, very well done.

I think my favorites are the beautiful details in her hair. This is one that I would *love* to see at conduit this coming year. Seriously.

So I really, really need to get my reservation in on time this year!!! My sister in law really wants me to come and visit, so maybe I can work something out. If I can get my darn truck running well enough to make the trip, that is.

well, if it makes you feel better, I only just now finished editing the rules and information so that it held updated info *grin* Haven't even posted it on the site yet. But yes! You do need to come up! We're working on having a lovely pre-convention get together, and just having a good time in general.
