I tried--and failed--once again to paint a man. He (and the rest of the background) ruined a perfectly nice painting. :(

I think its great no matter what! I really love how you use water colours! You are one of the few people who are actually good at it; unlike myself. I've tried paitning with watcolours, and well....I don't like how I do them. Lol, but anyway, great piece! *adds to favees*

Actually the man looks alright I think. His, er, groin is probably a bit too high (and men do have a different centre of gravity from us, don't they?) but the rest is great!

Using watercolors just takes practice. I used them for years and years, casually, while working full time and doing most of my art on the computer. You should see the bad paintings I did back then! Once I stopped working full time and started painting six to ten hours a day, I suddenly started to get good at it.

So... practice, practice, practice! You can learn to predict what the watercolors are going to do, and then you can get the effects that you want.

6 to 10 hours a day? WOW! Thats a lot. The longest amount of time I've put into a picture was like 4 hours and then I was beginning to get bored of it, lol. I need to practice on that too.
